1 in 5 over 85 Dies Broke

For those nearing retirement, the median savings is just $14,500. Does that sound like it’s enough to last the rest of your life? Probably not. Which is also probably why, while the title for this article is shocking enough, those who died between the ages of 50 and 64 are actually worse off than those who made it to 85. If you’re still working (and as mentioned in Monday’s article, there’s a growing chance you are, for positive reasons), keep in mind — you should still be saving at least something.
