I just stumbled upon this article in the Sandusky Register, and it got me thinking. It’s true, crimes against the elderly are a serious problem, and not just the financial scams I’ve blogged about several times. But just because you’re over 65 doesn’t mean you can’t defend yourself. A little bit of training can go a long way. I think it’s a great idea to reach out to your local sheriff or police chief, and try and convince him or her to offer a class for seniors similar to what Sgt. Snyder is offering in Sandusky.
