Sometimes, the government can move a little slowly. The AARP is pushing the government to expand so-called telehealth services and it may become a real possibility, as “the federal government begins to understand the benefits of teleconferencing capabilities”. It seems a little silly that they’re just now beginning to understand those benefits, but, it is what it is. Currently, there are only two Medicare Advantage insurance companies that provide these services. It may be worth a call to your representatives, to support the AARP plan and keep this ball rolling.
